(More customer reviews)I replaced my old mower with this model of Honda-engined mower.It was completely assembled in the box and came with everything needed to mow--except the gasoline.Adding the first oil was easy and intuitive, and adjusting the handle height was simple.From the time I opened the box to the time I was mowing the lawn was a whopping ten minutes.

The pull start is easy to operate and the choke system makes starting a one or two pull event.Plus, the choke returns to running position on its own so once the engine kicks over, you're good to go.The unit functioned flawlessly, chewing through fairly high and semi-damp grass with ease.I mulched on my first round and the clippings were finely chopped and fairly well distributed.

The controls are well-placed and intuitive.The safety disconnect is easy to hold down.The self-drive lever is stiff, however, and the fine adjustment doesn't change the stiffness.After my 1/3 acre lot, my right hand was fairly cramped.The lever is situated such that using the left hand or both hands is not easily possible.This is my primary complaint about the unit.The self-drive unit works well, though the continuous velocity adjustment isn't quite as useful as you would think; it is sort of handy when cornering, but that's about it.

My other minor complaint is about the gas tank size.It's pretty small.Granted, this is a minor thing--the mower holds enough gas to run through my 1/3 acre lot without a refill.I'm just used to larger tanks and when I fill the unit I usually overfill.Spilled gas is captured in the curvature of the steel deck.

In summary--the mower is what you would expect.Well-designed, well-built, efficient, and simple to use.I'm glad I bought it and plan on using it for many years.
